About me
Hey there! I’m Janett, and I’m thrilled to share my passion for hiking with you through this blog. Originally from the stunning landscapes of British Columbia, I made the move to Southern Alberta back in 2022. Since then, I’ve immersed myself in the rugged beauty of the Rocky Mountains and the vast wilderness that surrounds me.
Hiking has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. There’s something about being out in nature, surrounded by fresh air and stunning vistas, that invigorates me like nothing else. I’ve always been drawn to the outdoors, seeking out new trails and adventures whenever I can. In fact, I remember starting my hiking journey in the days when you had to rely on guidebooks and maps to find your way – long before the convenience of GPS and online resources.
When I arrived in Southern Alberta, I was surprised to find that there was relatively little information available about the ruggedness and beauty of the Rocky Mountains in this region. Determined to explore and share my discoveries with others, I set out to uncover the hidden gems of Southern Alberta’s hiking trails. Through this blog, I hope to inspire others to lace up their boots, hit the trails, and experience the magic of the outdoors for themselves. So, let’s embark on this journey together and discover the wonders that await us in the heart of the Rockies.
